Damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, Breezy Point, Queens, NY, five days after the hurricane hit. Both homes, left and right, were lifted off of the foundations while leaving the chimneys in their original locations..Breezy Point is a beachfront neighborhood located on the western end of the Rockaway peninsula, between Rockaway Inlet and Jamaica Bay on the landward side, and the Atlantic Ocean.
